The Ranger is the ninth survivor, added in version 1.0. She unlocks at Survival Level 175. She uses a crossbow and has animal companions, with abilities that boost Critical and Luck stats for the whole team.
There are 9 playable survivors: SWAT, Tank, Engineer, Huntress, Ghost, Medic, Pyro, Mechanic, and Ranger. You start each run with one leader and can recruit up to two more via SOS calls during the run.
Boss Rush is a new game mode added in 1.0. You have 10 minutes to power up before the final boss of each arena spawns. The faster you kill the boss, the higher your leaderboard position. It unlocks after completing Hardcore mode for each map.
There are 229 achievements total. Version 1.0 added 88 new achievements, including 64 in the new Story category. None of the achievements are missable — you can complete everything at your own pace.
The base game is $14.99 USD on Steam and GOG. A free demo is available on Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation. Your saved progression carries over from the demo or Early Access version to the full release.
Yet Another Zombie Survivors is available on PC (Steam and GOG), PlayStation 4 & 5, and Xbox One & Series X|S. A Nintendo Switch version is planned but has no confirmed release date yet.
