Yet Another Zombie Survivors Missions: A 79-Quest Camp Guide
Version 1.0 adds 79 missions through the Survivors' Camp: 15 Main Story missions, 45 Survivor missions, and 19 Repeatable missions. Use the Camp, Briefing Room, mission card, and Mission Log to plan each run without getting trapped by a random offer.
The 79-Mission Structure
These counts and Camp functions come from the official 1.0 release material. Exact task steps, objective quantities, and individual rewards are not presented as hands-on-confirmed facts on this page.
Three Mission Categories
The official sources establish the categories and counts. The practical advice below is a planning framework, not a developer-mandated order.
Main Story
Fifteen consecutive missions about the Survivors' discovery of the source of the virus. The Briefing Room presents the narrative thread between runs.
Survivor Questlines
Each of the nine Survivors offers five personal missions. A Survivor must be unlocked before their personal questline can become part of your Camp path.
Repeatable Missions
Repeatable quests extend the mission and Friendship loop after the initial story and character objectives. The current client controls the exact offer order.
The Camp-to-Run Workflow
Use this loop whenever you return from a run. It keeps a mission objective aligned with the build and the next unlock.
Open the Camp
Visit the Survivors' Camp between runs. Check the Briefing Room, mission progress, available conversations, radio messages, and any new objective before pressing Play.
Read the whole card
Note the arena, mode, objective, named Survivor, and any listed requirement or reward. Do not accept only the story sentence and ignore the practical condition.
Choose a primary goal
Decide what makes the run successful: mission progress, a map or mode gate, Survival Level, an achievement, or a specific Survivor objective.
Add one compatible target
Choose a secondary goal only when it uses the same map, mode, team, or build. Avoid pairing a strict no-ability challenge with a mission that needs a fragile new setup.
Track it during the run
Use the Mission Log when you need to confirm progress, remember the objective, or check whether a map or mode prerequisite is still missing.
Return and review
After the run, return to the Camp. Review the Mission Log, complete the available handoff, inspect Friendship progress, and spend permanent resources against the next failure.
How to Read a Mission Card
Community progression guides recommend treating the card as the contract for the next run. The exact layout and wording can change with the client.
- Arena or map: Confirm where the objective must happen before selecting a build or mode.
- Mode and difficulty: Check whether Default, Endurance, Hardcore, or another ruleset is required.
- Objective: Copy the action into your own short checklist. If the wording is ambiguous, use the current client rather than an older guide.
- Named Survivor or team condition: Check whether the mission is tied to an unlocked character, Leader, or squad composition.
- Prerequisite: If the card names a locked map or mode, open the Mission Log and work backward from the first unmet gate.
- Reward: Treat the reward shown by the current card as authoritative. This page does not supply a complete reward table because those details were not hands-on checked.
Main Story Route
Fifteen consecutive missions, with recovery through the Mission Log
The official 1.0 notes describe a 15-mission Main Story about the Survivors discovering the source of the virus. A narrative mission can be waiting in the Camp's Briefing Room after a run.
- Read the next objective before choosing the arena and team.
- Use the Mission Log to remember prior story events and inspect any map or mode requirement.
- If an objective fails, use the Log's retry path described by the official release notes instead of waiting for the same offer to return.
- Keep the story run separate from a high-risk cleanup attempt when the two goals require opposite builds.
- Do not assume a random offer means the story is permanently blocked; the official notes explicitly describe the Mission Log as a recovery tool.
Survivor Questlines
The 45 Survivor missions are five missions for each of the nine Survivors. The character must be part of your unlocked roster before their personal storyline can be pursued.
| Planning stage | Player action | What is safe to claim |
|---|---|---|
| Unlock the Survivor | Use the Survivor unlock guide to add the character to the roster. | Version 1.0 includes nine Survivors; each unlocked Survivor is associated with five personal missions. |
| Read the new offer | Check the Camp card for the named Survivor, arena, mode, and objective. | The current card, not a generic character guide, determines the exact run requirements. |
| Build the team | Use the named Survivor as Leader or recruit when the objective requires it; otherwise choose a build that protects the mission goal. | Team composition is a practical choice. Exact mission-specific team rules are not listed here without current client confirmation. |
| Track and replay | Check the Mission Log after the run and retry an incomplete objective when the client offers that path. | The official release notes explicitly describe progress review and manual retry for incomplete quests. |
Repeatable Missions and Friendship
Keep the loop useful
Repeatable missions give the Camp a reason to remain useful after the first story and Survivor objectives. Read the current offer instead of assuming every repeatable quest has the same condition.
Friendship improves future runs
The official release notes say completing missions permanently increases the Cash and Specialization gains received at the end of runs.
Mission progress is not only lore
Conversations and radio messages add context, while missions and Friendship create an actionable progression loop for later attempts.
When a Mission Needs a Locked Map or Mode
The official release notes say the Mission Log can show whether a storyline needs a particular mode or map. These are the main 1.0 gates to check in the current client.
| Gate | Official 1.0 condition | Mission-planning response |
|---|---|---|
| Bio Lab | Complete Dead Terminal on Default mode. | Do not force a Bio Lab objective before the map is selectable; use the Log to identify the prerequisite. |
| Boss Rush | Complete Hardcore mode for the relevant map. | Separate the unlock run from a mission with an incompatible team or restriction unless the card clearly combines them. |
| Infinite | Reach 30 minutes in Endurance mode for each arena. | Use the current 1.0 gate, not an older Early Access guide that describes a Hardcore-based unlock. |
| Survivor access | Personal missions belong to the unlocked Survivors. | Finish the roster requirement first, then return to the Camp and check the newly available character thread. |
Plan One Mission Run at a Time
This approach comes from community progression guidance and is useful when a mission, a map unlock, and permanent progression compete for the same run.
Choose the primary ledger
Pick one result: mission progress, Survival Level, a map or mode gate, an achievement, or an item objective.
Choose a compatible secondary
Pair the mission with a goal that uses the same arena and build. Do not attach a strict restriction to an already difficult unlock attempt without a reason.
Spend training points against the last failure
If the last run failed to collect experience, survive contact, or damage a boss, repair that specific weakness before buying unrelated power.
Audit the result in Camp
After the run, confirm the Mission Log, map list, Friendship result, or Achievement screen that should prove the attempt counted.
If a Mission Does Not Progress
Use the current client to diagnose state before repeating the same run blindly.
The card is missing
Check: the Briefing Room, Mission Log, unlocked Survivor roster, and whether the prior mission or map gate has been completed.
The counter stays unchanged
Check: the exact arena, mode, team, and objective wording. A similar action in the wrong ruleset may not count.
The mission failed
Check: the Mission Log retry path described by the official release notes. Repair the failure before changing the whole roster.
The prerequisite is locked
Check: the named map or mode gate. Work backward from the first unavailable prerequisite instead of guessing a hidden requirement.
The reward is unclear
Check: the current mission card and post-run Camp screen. This page does not supply a complete reward table because exact rewards were not hands-on checked.
A patch changed the wording
Check: the current client and latest official notes. Older task lists and copied community pages may describe a previous version.
Exact Task Details: What Is and Is Not Covered
Use the in-game mission card for the final step
This page covers the 79-mission structure and a practical Camp workflow. It does not pretend to provide a complete, current table of every task's exact quantity, step order, reward, refresh behavior, or hidden prerequisite.
- Safe to use here: 79 total missions, the 15/45/19 breakdown, five personal missions for each of nine Survivors, Camp, Briefing Room, Mission Log, Friendship, and official map/mode gates.
- Read from the current client: exact objective wording, arena, difficulty, target quantity, reward, task availability, and completion counter.
- Community guidance: read the full mission card, choose one primary and one compatible secondary goal, track progress in the Log, and retry incomplete missions deliberately.
- Not claimed: a complete exact task list, exact token or Friendship values, guaranteed refresh timing, or a universal mission order.
