YAZS Game Speed: Where to Find 2x and What to Check
Open Options → Accessibility and look for Game Speed near the bottom to increase the speed up to 200%. Use this setting for a persistent preference; PC Speed up and Slow down hotkeys apply to the current run. If leaderboard eligibility matters, start at 100% and avoid lowering it during the attempt.

The Setting Players Have Missed
In the August 21, 2026 launch discussion ↗ (external), one player thought 2x speed was absent, then found it in Accessibility after another player pointed out the 200% option. Check that menu before looking for a separate fast mode or installing a tool.
The developer’s August 26–28 hotfix notes ↗ (external) distinguish the persistent Accessibility setting from PC controls configured under Options → Controls → Remap Controls. The September 9 notes add a Game Speed 100% bind on PC. Use your installed version’s visible controls; the PC bind list is not a promise of identical console shortcuts.
Choose the Control That Fits Your Goal
Scroll the table sideways to read all columns.
| Your goal | Choose | Before the attempt |
|---|---|---|
| Use faster gameplay as your usual preference | Game Speed in Accessibility | Set the preference there, then check the value before the next run. |
| Adjust only this PC run | Speed up / Slow down in Remap Controls | Check their bindings so a movement or menu key does not accidentally change speed. |
| Return to normal speed on PC | Game Speed 100% bind, when available | Use it to reset pace. Do not treat it as proof that a previously disqualified score is eligible again. |
| Attempt a leaderboard result | Start at 100% | The developer warns that speeds below 100% disable leaderboards. Avoid changing that condition during a score attempt. |
These choices are our planning advice based on the controls above. They do not establish a fastest farming setting, a damage bonus, or achievement eligibility under every speed configuration.
If the Next Run Does Not Match Your Preference
- A shortcut changed one run, but the next run feels normal: check Accessibility. The developer describes the hotkey changes as temporary for that run.
- The PC reset bind is missing: compare the installed version with the September 9 1.0.1 notes, then inspect Remap Controls. The announcement says other platforms follow separately.
- A score is missing after slowing down: first check whether speed went below 100%. That matches the documented restriction; changing back alone is not evidence that the score was restored.
- You cannot locate the setting: record the platform, version and menu shown. Include them in the game’s F8 feedback where available, rather than assuming a PC control exists on every device.
Game Speed Questions
Where is 2x speed?
Look near the bottom of Options → Accessibility for Game Speed. The launch discussion above identifies 200% there.
Do speed hotkeys change every later run?
The developer’s PC notes say hotkey speed changes apply to that run. Use Accessibility for the persistent setting.
Does returning to 100% recover a disabled score?
The cited notes do not establish that it does. For a score attempt, check 100% before entering and avoid lowering it.
Set the Pace, Then Pick the Objective
Choose the persistent setting or temporary control first. Then use team plans for your loadout, Boss Rush for its arena gate and boss timing, or the update guide to match a control change to its version.
